Auburn Twin Oaks Charities - Privacy Policy

ATO Charities respects your privacy. We do not collect personal information from you unless you offer it. Our intention is to provide an informative tool for those interested in helping the community of Northern Ohio through grants, information about ATO activities, and to allow our supporters to become more involved in our mission. We recognize that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us and how we treat that information.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share our mailing or donor lists with other organizations. All information supplied by visitors to our site is used only for the purpose indicated, such as to reply to e-mails, send mailings about our events, and to process donations.

ATO uses “cookies”--codes that allow us to recognize your computer when you visit our website. We collect and store only anonymous information about your computer and mode of Internet access, including the name of the domain from which you access the Internet, the date and time you access our site, how long you stayed on our site, and the Internet address that brought you to our site. We track this information to improve the usefulness, value, and navigation of our website.

Also, ATO uses cookies to identify members—those supporters that register with our website and are given a password. This allows access to areas of our website and certain publications without requesting a sign-in form each and every time. ATO collects personal information when you register with us to make a donation or become a member to the website, to networking or to fundraising campaigns. We ask for information such as your name, address, phone number, fax number, and email address. We reserve the right to email you for fundraising efforts unless you expressly request not to be emailed. Our emails are never sent unsolicited. Unsubscribe information can be found at the bottom of every email sent.

ATO takes very seriously the protection of sensitive materials regarding online donations. ATO works with vendors to secure transactions according to industry standards using generally agreed upon methods of encryption and encoding. Personal information is stored in a database with reasonable protections in place against privacy breaches using multiple “firewalls.” Any vendors affiliated with ATO are held to industry-standard practices including, without limitation, confidentiality.

A note to parents: ATO Charities does not knowingly collect or maintain any personal information from children under the age of 18. We do invite and encourage children to visit our website, and to learn more about our organization and, when appropriate, to find opportunities to participate in activities which serve our community. However, we encourage that this be done with the knowledge and supervision of the child's parent(s).
Any personal information you send in an email will not be used unless you sign a Consent and Release form. It is our responsibility to provide you with this form. Any information sent to ATO is not covered under this policy.
